The MOM mission exploration took off from the launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (Sriharikota) Andra Pradesh. Mars orbiter mission was implemented to test important technologies for interplanetary exploration and use its five technological instruments to explore the Martian surface and look for life forms. Mangalyaan is still active and has tracked the seasonal variation of the red planet for 2 martian years.
